Project
Red
1
The jury surprised me: the
opposite of grand
Considering their power as I took
the stand
On being found guilty I knew it
was time
To be punished for my imaginary
crime
Evil was mentioned about Project
Red
And some manifesto concealed in
my bed
Suggesting delinquents in town so
he said
Were victims of flyers I
supposedly spread?
This counsel continued my politics
were bad
And were illegally imported from Leningrad
Possibly when Stalin was still in
command
And keen to corrupt the young in
our land
Saving the world
Might well be a breeze
If there were more people
Protecting the trees
Our rivers are withering
So too are our bees
This isn’t a mystery
Greed is the disease
2
We ambushed a road with obstacles
too
This had to be good and delighted
a few
But sadly our judge could never agree
About anything affable said about
me
Our bubble bath was fabulous fun
Paving the way for our water gun
Creating chaos is really not bad
Given our Age is certainly mad
In support of our cause we hid in
our house
A delightful surprise in the form
of a mouse
Or else in the town we might unleash
a rat
We certainly enjoyed ourselves
with that!
Saving the world
Might well be a breeze
If there were more people
Protecting the trees
Our rivers are withering
So too are our bees
This isn’t a mystery
Greed is the disease
3
The world today has lost the plot
With greed the one value to be
got
Just open your eyes; a battle
remains
Since society loves to keep us in
chains
Many believe capitalism is a
crime
For ravaging nature once sublime
To enable the rich to get richer
still
Leaving posterity to pick up the
bill
Since our law makers are
dim-witted
Saving the planet is not
permitted
Within a system that has broken
And a populace far from woken
Saving the world
Might well be a breeze
If there were more people
Protecting the trees
Our rivers are withering
So too are our bees
This isn’t a mystery
Greed is the disease
The End
