Abuse by institution

How sad for this to be

Lose a decent reputation

And you have my sympathy

They can steal your source of income

They can sabotage your trade

Or arrest you for no reason

Like Kim Dotcom in a raid

Abuse by institution

Or the servants of the State

That are following some order

Or their latest strange mandate

Is it power they are wanting?

Or promotion that they need?

Can there be another reason

Such as ignorance or greed?

Then a rose bush is your bed

And the feathers you require

Are now briar thorns instead

With your reputation ruined

And no shield for you to hold

With its knuckle duster fist

The worst are the secret service

Should your name get on their list

Social workers can be crazy

Policemen can abuse the law

Tax inspectors can be cheaters

More than happy to rob the poor

Corporations I must add

For abusing their position

And corrupting what we had

Tradition was a treasure

But you won’t find much today

With the trash that we are making

And bad culture now holding sway
