The Season of Treason (Education Version) (41B)

The Season of Treason (Education Version Revised)

1

In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring
I would like to find a lady
For a late romantic fling

That will happily ignore me
When I use hair colouring
In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring

Will it matter if my clothing
Found me in a welfare store?
After all delivering pamphlets
Is designed to leave you poor

And on finding a kind lady
In the autumn of my spring
Will fish fingers be insulting?
Since I live on a shoe-string

Good morning splendid robot
You are looking pretty spruce
Rumour has it you are happy
Now that you are full of juice

Mr Luddite from Great Britain
Wants to end your little show
As progress leads to power
With disaster close in tow

2

In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring
Mr Luddite is quite certain
Robots are an evil thing

Since electric magnetism
When in automatic mode
Can vaporise somebody
With a circuit overload

I feel like a lonely Robin
That is left behind to sing
In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring

Mr Luddite has a vision
It came to him in a dream
That a backward revolution
Will renew the age of steam

Good evening splendid robot
You are looking pretty spruce
Rumour has it you are happy
Now that you are full of juice

Mr Luddite from Great Britain
Wants to end your little show
As progress leads to power
With disaster close in tow

The End

The Season of Treason (Adult Version) (41)

The Season of Treason (Revised Adult Version)

1

In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring
I would like to find a lover
For a late romantic fling

I am hoping that Viagra
Will rejuvenate my spring
Before the vaults of winter
Pour cold water on the thing

Should I bribe a local doctor?
Or search on the internet?
Is it just prescription only?
This small detail I forget

Will I find an eager lady
In the autumn of my spring
That will overlook my history
And the little that I bring

Good morning amorous robot
You are looking pretty spruce
Rumour has it you are happy
Now that you are full of juice

Mr Luddite from Great Britain
Wants to end your little show
As progress leads to power
With disaster close in tow

The Four Seasons (40)

The Four Seasons
1
Infants cry out to be woken
On the first morning of spring
Can they see a pansy growing?
Can they hear a cuckoo sing?

It’s the season of beginnings
And perhaps a golden age
Assisted by MrsTradition
And hopefully Mr Sage

Each new season is glad to be
A part of life’s green synergy
How fabulous this is

Ortherwise we might emulate
The entropy of war and hate
Leading to the abyss
2
The summer is by comparison
A time when youth arrives at last
A chance to step out in the world
Designed to mold or flabbergast

Yet naturally change must come
From both the young and elderly
Combining wisdom with a vision
And good values especially

Each new season is glad to be
A part of life’s green synergy
How fabulous this is

Ortherwise we might emulate
The entropy of war and hate
Leading to the abyss
3
Autumn creeps upon us slowly
With large letters on the page
As the harvest is celebrated
And ferried in a metal cage

To the usual profit makers
The architects of “user’s pay”
Supported by the super wealthy
Where the power belongs today

Each new season is glad to be
A part of life’s green synergy
How fabulous this is

Ortherwise we might emulate
The entropy of war and hate
Leading to the abyss
4
Cold winter in this age of progress
Creates more hardship every year
With homelessness a new reality
And the utilities extremely dear

Yet still jet planes fly overseas
Permission granted I do believe
To reconstruct the world below
In line with liberal democracy

Each new season is glad to be
A part of life’s green synergy
How fabulous this is

Ortherwise we might emulate
The entropy of war and hate
Leading to the abyss

The End

Pathway to Heaven (39)

Pathway to Heaven (39)

1
A fiery rose begins to glow
During the break of day
Allowing a pale chariot
To quietly head away

Hope is a part of any dawn
That ushers out the night
Inviting faith and charity
To reach out and unite

The changing skies of day reveal
Life’s cycle moving like a wheel
From dawn to dusk, then night

While sparkling in the skies above
A sanctuary of peace and love
For those that see the light
2
The day turns over a new leaf
With chores to undertake
Assisted by the rising sun
Light work for God to make

And even in the winter time
For lands covered with snow
How good to see communities
So peaceful and aglow

The changing skies of day reveal
Life’s cycle moving like a wheel
From dawn to dusk, then night

While sparkling in the skies above
A sanctuary of peace and love
For those that see the light
3
The ruby sky of dusk arrives
With grandiose like the dawn
As a red rose about to close
Trades places with a thorn

A silken veil is ready now
To shade the world below
An invitation to the stars
To open their sideshow

The changing skies of day reveal
Life’s cycle moving like a wheel
From dawn to dusk, then night

While sparkling in the skies above
A sanctuary of peace and love
For those that see the light
4
The evening sky becomes the night
How strange and dark it seems
However, sleep is not without
Its own amazing dreams

Aurora dancing in the sky
Once called the Milky Way
As stargazers delight to see
The ending of the day

The changing skies of day reveal
Life’s cycle moving like a wheel
From dawn to dusk, then night

While sparkling in the skies above
A sanctuary of peace and love
For those that see the light

When earthly cares are put aside
To celebrate the lovely bride
Arriving soon at dawn

What better than a blooming rose
To open up the day for those
Yearning to be reborn
The End

Mr Respectable of Timaru (38)

Mr Respectable of Timaru (38)

1
Mr Armstrong, what a man
As shady as an empty can
A contra rebel on the prowl
A pit-bull just about to growl

At first you see a simple bloke
That likes to tell a funny joke
No clue at all he has a mate
His kind you can’t anticipate

So many accolades has he
Compared to people say like me
His mighty hoard is some mystery
Dare we surmise what it may be?

The brotherhood, the Ku Klux clan
Some other group too hard to ban
Where decency is compromised
And lasting virtues oxidized

2
Mr Armstrong, what a cheat
To cover ice with sugar sweet
Okay with words like Rudolf Hess
As long as you don’t mention chess!

Ignore his welcome from the heart
Not least the charm he will impart
And get to know the man inside
Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

So many accolades has he
Compared to people say like me
His mighty hoard is some mystery
Dare we surmise what it may be?

The brotherhood, the Ku Klux clan
Some other group too hard to ban
Where decency is compromised
And lasting virtues oxidized

3
Mr Armstrong loves a fight
And naturally he’s always right
When you are on the losing side
Your pain is sure to boost his pride

Employing others to hide his wrath
And show that he’s no psychopath
A sociopath, now there’s a thought
Designed to leave others distraught

So many accolades has he
Compared to people say like me
His mighty hoard is some mystery
Dare we surmise what it may be?

The brotherhood, the Ku Klux clan
Some other group too hard to ban
Where decency is compromised
And lasting virtues oxidized

The End

Taming Lions and Planet Saving (37)

Taming Lions and Planet Saving (37)
1
Goldie wants to save this planet
Is she mad? I think she is
Thankfully I’m not expected
To be bothered much with this

Planet saving is dramatic
Like say a wake-up call
To forget about the circus
Where the trick is to enthral

It’s a weird and crazy habit
To attempt to save a planet
But with Goldie so committed
I feel we ought to help her do it
2
I was once a lion tamer
It felt good to use a whip
Until the animal supporters
Wore me down with their lip

And so the circus owner
Gave the lion to a zoo
And closed my position
As he shed a tear or two

It’s a weird and crazy habit
To attempt to save a planet
But with Goldie so committed
I feel we ought to help her do it
3
Goldie is quite different
To the usual red brigade
By focussing on this planet
And not emphasising trade

As business creates income
And paid work for us to do
Employment is the master
If you leave out just a few

It’s a weird and crazy habit
To attempt to save a planet
But with Goldie so committed
I feel we ought to help her do it
4
Goldie really is a rebel
But I love her crazy ways
Even though planet saving
Seems impossible these days

As you will just get arrested
If you refuse to conform
And to try to save a planet
Is a long way from the norm

It’s a weird and crazy habit
To attempt to save a planet
But with Goldie so committed
I feel we ought to help her do it
5
If you want to save a planet
Then talk to Goldie please
She’s out saving a forest
From the enemy of trees

Or ordinary stupid people
With no time to save these
Of course I’m quoting Goldie
Or what she strongly believes!

It’s a weird and crazy habit
To attempt to save a planet
But with Goldie so committed
I feel we ought to help her do it

The End
