The Season of Treason (Education Version) (41B)

The Season of Treason (Education Version Revised)

1

In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring
I would like to find a lady
For a late romantic fling

That will happily ignore me
When I use hair colouring
In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring

Will it matter if my clothing
Found me in a welfare store?
After all delivering pamphlets
Is designed to leave you poor

And on finding a kind lady
In the autumn of my spring
Will fish fingers be insulting?
Since I live on a shoe-string

Good morning splendid robot
You are looking pretty spruce
Rumour has it you are happy
Now that you are full of juice

Mr Luddite from Great Britain
Wants to end your little show
As progress leads to power
With disaster close in tow

In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring
Mr Luddite is quite certain
Robots are an evil thing

Since electric magnetism
When in automatic mode
Can vaporise somebody
With a circuit overload

I feel like a lonely Robin
That is left behind to sing
In the winter of my summer
And the autumn of my spring

Mr Luddite has a vision
It came to him in a dream
That a backward revolution
Will renew the age of steam

Good evening splendid robot
You are looking pretty spruce
Rumour has it you are happy
Now that you are full of juice

Mr Luddite from Great Britain
Wants to end your little show
As progress leads to power
With disaster close in tow

The End
